Mason Clark Associates also provide civil/structural engineering consultancy and cover residential, commercial and industrial projects. The three most common residential survey reports are:

Valuation Report Not constituting a survey this is a brief report which gives guidance on the valuation of a property. This is typically the form of survey your mortgage lender will provide.

RICS Homebuyer Survey & Valuation Generally considered suitable for homes built in the last 100years. It includes comment on all visible sections of the property. The survey will highlight any defects and advise on the valuation of the property taking the condition & any repairs needed into account.

Building Structural Survey Particularly suitable for individual properties, older buildings or those that have been extended. This is the most detailed type of report available. As well as commenting on all visible elements of the building, the report will also include information relating to the method of construction, condition of the structure & any future repairs which may be needed.
